No way out… or? …

When you go for a nice walk with 3 friends you don’t expect this adventure.
One of the dogs, Nesca, clearly a bit curious, jumped in an abandoned water well of at least 10 meters deep..

We all literally froze from fear!

After making sure that Nesca had nothing broken and was ok, although in shock, Jorge acted quickly.
The neighbouring farm was deserted, no help to be found there.
What he did find was a pile of small bits of rope of about 30 cm. With fingers shivering, but determined, we wove a rope.
Jorge went down the water well himself. Made a harness of the rope around Nesca, and … we pulled her up into safety, out of the well! We were so relieved and happy!

But… now we have Jorge in the water well and pulling him up was not so easy. He was too heavy for the two of us, and the rope kept getting stuck!

I ran to the dirt road but there was not a soul in sight, normal as we were in the middle of nowhere.
And then I heard a sound… I could not believe my luck! 4 guys on motor bikes came my way. I could not think of anything else than to jump in front of them.

How lucky can you be? And Nesca? Curious and playful as ever, I tell you!
